As a Chinese immigrant whose life has been shaped by the legacy of the Cultural Revolution and the Postmodern era, I use ceramics to navigate questions of identity, memory, and transformation. I strive to reconnect with traditional techniques that anchor me to my past, while transforming them through my own practice to speak to the world built from what once was.

I’m a lucky husband and proud father to a wonderful little girl who inspires me to find the courage to move beyond the barriers that once held me back. After a decade working in the film and television industry as a Visual Effects Technical Director, I now strive to merge that experience with my fine arts practice to create meaningful work within my community.
